The big question now, is: What about the forum? should we have this restricted forum, or a custom-made forum (phpbb2, of course) where I can add all kinds of mods and skins and no stupid host-restrictions in the control panel?

The thing is, on _THIS_ forum, it's not possible to backup the forum database. But on the forum I got on thetrveinm.9999mb.com (It's hidden now), I can back it up in case something goes wrong. What do you people think?

Yeah, if there was a way to possibly transfer all the posts, that would rule. The problem is, everytime we start a new forum, we lose members. People just get tired of switching.

of course, if we keep this forum I won't be able to back up any posts at all, compared to if we use the new one. So, keeping this forum will basically just delay a forum change.

Getting a new forum would be most grim, but it's rather gay that we can't move all the posts from this one.
And yeah, I'm getting tired of switching forums constantly as well, but I'm up for switching one last time if the new one's decent.

I want to be sure everyone knows that given the current status of things at 9999mb.com, I'm not in favor of developing anything further there unless they take those damned google ads away from the headers of all our pages. This forum is way sweeter than those horrible tacky ads they're tacking onto us at 9999mb.

Well, I'm still a little more "on guard" to new people who claim they can host. We saw what happened last time, and that was not funny at all. If you can prove that you're serious about this, then I think the ABM Gestapo and the Grim Legion could discuss the grim proposition of yours.

I had some discussions with ppl... We could customize IPB to make it omniously grim. [IPB example: http://forums.spellholdstudios.net/] My thoughts turn to black and white mostly, cause this generic phpBB is just gay. I also wouldn't want to enable full visual costomization options for users, since it will be grim as fuck to begin with, custom skins are for fags and anybody asking for more skins should get blacklisted. We could back all contents up with each willing member of the ABM Gestapo...

We're form the same town in Transylvania [Tirgu Mures] and he's got the host. He'll also handle large parts of the programming, and I'll do the visuals... He registered on these forums after I persuaded him to join but I haven't seen him post yet...

If you want in on the programming or design, it's ok, so long as you keep it very very very very very very very cold and grim!

Curses! Most lukewarm news: the person I was gonna make the new site with hasn't got the time. Fuck!

...I guess he could do so much as register a domain and give us some hosting but the site building will be mostly our job.
